TREY
DRAKEN is your typical too-skinny basketball-star-wannabe until he
tries out Dr. Zeus's "miraculous" muscle-gaining machine.
Unfortunately, the results aren't what he expects - and with the
opening of worlds that have been sealed for 10,000 years, he's now
caught in the middle of an eons-old war in the realm of dragons and
empires...
Shounen action and fantasy manga. Updates several times a week.
Age = 15
Gender = F (Yes, I can't say sex without giggling)
Location = VA
Ethnicity = Chinese
Email = lishiyo@gmail.com
AIM = YokofSankoe
Name? = Lishiyo is actually the direct translation of my Chinese name into Japanese. The Japanese would usually reverse the characters of my first name to the much more common "Yoko", but I thought that was boring, so I kept it as is. *sweatdrop* It sounds like "violet leaf at midnight" or something *no clue*.
Deviantart = yamikura (I"ll be changing it soon, I believe)
First anime = Ronin Warriors! (Or Yoroiden Samurai Troopers to you purists.) I was ten, it was the dawn of the Millennium.
First drawing = When I was twelve or thirteen, I started actually doodling manga. I started out CLAMP style, with RG Veda. CLAMP was something I couldn't shake off for a really looong time (X/1999, Chobits, I never got into CardCaptors). Then I got really obsessed with shounen manga, like Flame of Recca, Rurouni Kenshin, Hikaru no Go, Naruto, etc. (Especially if they were slashy, heheh..) Rurouni Kenshin stuck the longest for me, since the story was so beautiful; don't be surprised to see samurais popping up soon.
Fav. Manga = BLEACH as of right now. All time favs would include the shounen manga listed above, along with Kazuya Minekura's Saiyuki, Peacemaker Kurogane (lovely art), Yami no Matsuei (the only anime series I actually possess), Prince of Tennis (just the doujins), Trigun. . . I just can't get into Tsubasa or FMA right now, dunno why.
Fav. Artist = There are so many! It's a close call between BLEACH's Kubo Tite (Ichigo is extremely hot) and Trigun's Yasuhiro Naito (Nightow). I know the shoujo artists are much prettier, but I value the character/personality of the art more than detail.
Fav. Storyteller= Ah, here's where it get really yummy. While I do look at a manga's cover(art), it's the story that gets me addicted. Naruto's Kishimoto Masashi is a bit sentimental at times, but the directing and the story is very powerful. Trigun is quite emotional too but strikes a nice balance. And Saiyuki - the writing is extremely beautiful.
Fav. Character = Vash the Stampede.
More coming soon! SEND REQUESTS PLEASE.
